§ Mr. Hicksasked the Secretary of State for the Environment if, on 18th May 1976, he issued an order to stop the demolition of buildings on the down platform of Lostwithiel railway station: what are the terms and conditions of this order; what action was taken by British Rail in response to this order; and if he will make a statement, including any future action he proposes to take.
§ Mr. ShoreOn 14th May I added the station building on the "up" platform and the goods shed at Lostwithiel station to the list of buildings of special architectural or historic interest. However, my experts advised that the buildings on the "down" platform did not warrant inclusion in the statutory list. I understand that these were demolished by British Rail on 16th May.
