§ Mr. MeacherThe information available relates to the book value of United Kingdom direct investment excluding oil, banking and insurance. The latest figure relates to the end of 1971 and was published in Table 35 of Business Monitor M4 Part Overseas Transactions 1972, a copy of which is in the Library. The next estimate, which will relate to the end of 1974, will not be published until the autumn of this year. Figures for subsequent net flows of investment in 1972 and 1973 were published in Table 17 of Business Monitor M4, Overseas Transactions 1973 a copy of which is also in the Library. No comparable figures are available for investment by other countries in Brazil.
