HC Deb 21 May 1976 vol 911 c763W
Mr. Richard Wainwright

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment on how many occasions his Advisory Committee on Rent Rebates and Rent allowances has considered the question of the total disregard of war widows' and war disablement pensions in the calculation of rebate and allowance entitlement; and what have been its conclusions.

Mr. Armstrong

The Advisory Committee on Rent Rebates and Rent Allowances has discussed this matter on a number of occasions and recently reviewed the position. It concluded that a total disregard of these pensions would not be justified.
