§ Mr. Hooleyasked the Secretary of State for the Environment if, in the light of the report by the Construction Industry Training Board that 960 craft apprentices were redundant at the end of February and that 1,400 craft apprentices were seeking jobs in April after completion of approved training courses, he will issue a circular to public authorities urging the need to employ 685W these skilled boys and girls in the light of the forthcoming economic upturn.
§ Mr. FreesonA number of special measures have been taken by the Training Services Agency to help redundant apprentices and trainees. Further measures, including the possibility of site training schemes in the public housing sector, are under consideration.
