§ Mr. Michael Marshallasked the Secretary of State for Trade when he expects to receive the findings of the full investigation into applications for anti-dumping measures in the case of special steels as announced in column 368 of the Official Report dated 29th March 1976.

Member for Colne Valley (Mr. Wainwright) on 29th March is being carried out by his Department, with regard to the application submitted to him by United Kingdom special steels producers for anti-dumping action against the imports of stainless steel bars from Japan.

We have discussed extensively with the British Independent Steel Producers' Association its application for anti-dumping action against Japanese steels, but have not decided whether to accept it for full investigation.
