§ 31. Mr. James Johnsonasked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food what action he is taking to support the British fishing industry, with particular reference to financial aid to keep the distant water fleet at sea.
§ Mr. PeartI wrote to the British Trawlers' Federation over four months ago saying that I was willing to consider any well-documented case of overwhelming need for aid to the industry. The BTF presented a memorandum three weeks ago which is now under consideration.
