HC Deb 04 May 1976 vol 910 cc308-9W
25. Mr. Strauss

asked the Secretary of State for Education and Science what progress is being made towards the establishment of the proposed theatre museum.

Mr. Mulley

The nucleus of the Theatre Museum is at present temporarily established in the Victoria and Albert Museum. The Department of the Environment is negotiating a lease and building agreement with the Greater London Council for the basement of the former Flower Market, Covent Garden and the ground floor premises on the corner of Russell Street and Wellington Street. Plans for the conversion of these premises are currently under consideration.
