Mr. Alan Lee Williamsasked the Secretary of State for the Environment whether he held discussions with the National Ports Authority prior to its giving evidence to the EEC Working Party on ports dealing with competition between ports within the Community; and when he expects the Commission's report to be available.
§ Dr. GilbertA fact-finding questionnaire prepared by an EEC working group was addressed to individual ports in the Community. Replies were sent by 12 United Kingdom harbour authorities. The National Ports Council was not directly involved. I understand that the working group's report is expected later this year.
