HC Deb 04 May 1976 vol 910 cc331-2W
Mr. Richard Wainwright

asked the Secretary of State for Employment what is the latest total of applications received under the job creation programme in the North-West, Yorkshire and Humberside and East Midlands Regions, respectively; and how many of these applications have been approved in each region.

Mr. Golding

I am informed by the Manpower Services Commission that, up to 23rd April, 434 applications had been received from North-West England—including Merseyside and excluding Cumbria—of which 249 have been approved; 191 applications had been received from Yorkshire and Humberside, of which 89 have been approved; and 243 applications had been received from the Midlands, of which 103 have been approved. Applications from the East Midlands are not separately identified.
