HC Deb 04 May 1976 vol 910 cc341-2W
Mr. Monro

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland, in view of the hardship caused to farmers by the continued delay over the payment of hill livestock compensatory allowances, if he will take steps to see that the payments are completed forthwith.

Mr. Hugh D. Brown

I refer the hon. Member to the reply given on Thursday, 29th April to the hon. Member for Roxburgh, Selkirk and Peebles (Mr. Steel)— [Vol. 910, c. 144–5.] Since then a further 2,000 claims have been passed for payment.
