HC Deb 04 May 1976 vol 910 c319W
Mr. Kilfedder

asked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland what are the latest available figures for emigration from Northern Ireland; and what are the principal countries to which emigrants go.

Mr. Merlyn Rees

No precise figures are available between censuses of the number of people emigrating from Northern Ireland. The estimated figure for 1975 was 16,000, but it is not possible to break down this figure between those going to Great Britain and other countries.
