HC Deb 29 March 1976 vol 908 cc396-7W
Mr. Aitken

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services if she is now able to give a date on which the building of new operating theatres and wards will start at the Royal Sea Bathing Hospital, Thanet.

Dr. Owen

Health authorities have recently been advised of capital allocations for 1976–77 and capital planning assumptions for the two following years and been asked to submit proposals for the capital programme for 1976–77.

The South East Thames Regional Health Authority is currently considering which of the many competing demands in the region should have priority within the necessarily limited funds available. It assures me that it will give full consideration to the proposals to improve operating facilities at the Royal Sea Bathing Hospital.
