§ Mr. EadieAs stated in my Department's issue of "Energy Trends" for February, coal consumption by the electricity industry was 11 per cent. higher in 1975 than in the previous year. At the meeting with the coal and electricity industries on 20th February proposals for increasing coal-burn further were made and these are being studied.
