HC Deb 09 March 1976 vol 907 cc212-3W
Mr. William Hamilton

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland if he has received the letter signed by the Convener of the Kirkcaldy District Council and the hon. Member for Fife, Central concerning a meeting to discuss the possibility of using the Scottish Development Agency to help GEC to retrain its redundant workers and to retool to produce modern telecommunications equipment in Fife; and what reply he has sent.

Mr. William Ross

I have replied to the letter saying that I have asked the Training Services Agency and the Scottish Development Agency to initiate early discussions with GEC in order to establish the detailed position and to identify any ways in which the agencies might assist.
