Mr. Michael Latham

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment whether, pursuant to the Minister for Housing and Construction's reply to the hon. Member for Melton on 28th January, he will indicate in what way Command Paper No. 6393 contained more information than usual about the construction content of departmental programmes; and whether he can now indicate when he expects to submit his detailed proposals to the construction industry.

The information referred to in my reply of 28th January was not intended to be included in the Command Paper. In accordance with proposals which were put to the industry on 13th February, details of the construction content of public expenditure programmes have now been sent to the organisations concerned. The details will be included in the next issue of the Department's quarterly construction statistics.
