§ Mr. Hattonasked the Secretary of State for Energy what discussions he has had with the Chairman of the Central Electricity Generating Board concerning the request of the CEGB that action be taken to increase the price of gas; and if he will make a statement.
§ Mr. BennI am of course aware of the views of the Chairman of the CEGB about gas prices which were mentioned at the meeting on 20th February between the coal and electricity industries. Discussions on energy policy will necessarily touch on many matters. Counter-inflation policy is of course relevant here.
