HC Deb 04 March 1976 vol 906 cc711-2W
20. Mr. Molloy

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer what representations he has received from the TUC concerning the policies contained in his recent White Paper on public expenditure.

Mr. Healey

I had general discussions about the White Paper with members of the TUC at a meeting of the TUC—Labour Party Liaison Committee on 23rd February. The Chief Secretary and other Ministers discussed the White Paper with the TUC Local Government Committee on 24th February. I have also noted the views expressed by the General Council in its 1976 economic review.

22. Mr. Cryer

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer when he next expects to meet the CBI and TUC.

28. Mr. Marten

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer when he will next meet the TUC.

Mr. Healey

I am in constant touch with representatives of the CBI and the TUC at NEDC and on other occasions. The CBI discussed its Budget representations with me on 25th February, and the Economic Committee of the TUC will be presenting its views shortly.
