Mr. Ted Fletcherasked the Secretary of State for the Environment what representations he has received from the Darlington District Council for an increase in the Section 105 allowance for the year 1976–77 for the improvements to pre-war council houses; and what reply he has sent.
§ Mr. ArmstrongI wrote to my hon. Friend on 25th February about the letter on this subject from the Borough of Darlington which he forwarded to me. My reply indicated that, following the Government's recent announcement of an additional £50 million for public sector house improvements, the Department's regional office has been asked to arrange an early meeting with representatives of Darlington Council with a view to making a supplementary allocation to the authority.
