§ Mr. Joel BarnettThe substantial transfer element of public expenditure in a given year does not have its full effect on final demand in that year, and the percentage change figures in Table 4.2 represent the general trend of the demand on output generated by public expenditure as planned over the Survey period. It would not, therefore, be appropriate to give estimates for individual years. Estimates for 1975–76 are shown merely to provide weights for combining the main elements.
