§ Mr. Stephen Rossasked the Secretary of State for the Environment if he will now give a date for a public inquiry to be held into the College Road gipsy site, Epsom; and what representations he has received since the matter was referred to him by Surrey County Council in January 1976.
§ Mr. John SilkinThe Epsom and Ewell Borough Council has objected to the pro-proposal under Section 8(2) of the Caravan Sites Act 1968. A decision will be made shortly, but I cannot say at this stage whether my right hon. Friend will give a direction which might lead to his calling a public inquiry. Representations have been received from the Nork Ratepayers' and Residents' Association, the Drift Bridge Area Association, the Association of Ewell Downs Residents and the Longdown Lane South Residents' Association.
