§ Lord STRABOLGIThe opening paragraph of the White Paper makes clear that production from the resources of the sea is not dealt with. The Government considered at the time that the fishing industry faced major uncertainties which placed it in a fundamentally different position from that of agriculture. Future prospects for the fishing industry are being separately considered.
