asked the Secretary of State for Industry how many inquiries have been received at each of the small firms information centres in the United Kingdom, in each month of this year; and what is the average monthly number of inquiries each respective centre has received since opening.

The number of inquiries received by each of the 10 centres in each month of this year, until 31st May, is contained in Table 1 below:

About 511,000 acres of sugar beet were sown in 1976, compared with 481,000 acres in both 1974 and 1975. Output of white sugar was 559,000 tons in 1974–75 and 630,000 tons in 1975–76.
