asked the Secretary of State for Scotland what steps he has taken recently in co-operation with the Glasgow District Council to re-house the Burrell Collection.

My right hon. Friend told the Glasgow City District Council on 17th June that he was still considering whether the project for a new gallery to house the collection might be fitted into the local authority museums and galleries building programme in the reasonably near future.
