§ Mr. EadieA discussion document, prepared under the aegis of my right hon. Friend's Advisory Council on Research and Development for Fuel and Power, is being issued as one of the papers for the National Energy Conference on 22nd June. This paper, which puts forward a framework for the future planning of United Kingdom research and development in energy technologies, is an important step towards the formulation of a national energy research and development strategy. We hope that it will be widely discussed so that in the light of comments the framework can be further developed.
