The total number of accidental electrocutions in the home in282W 1975 was 46. The breakdown according to the type of electrical equipment involved was as follows:
Wiring and accessories … 22 Portable tools … 8 Electric fires … 3 Electric blankets … 1 Electronic equipment … 1 Miscellaneous appliances … 11
The preliminary statistical report for 1975 can be obtained from my Department from today.
A full report on electrical fatalities in the home in 1974 and 1975 by my Department's electrical adviser will be published in the autumn.
