§ Mr. Ralph Howellasked the Secretary of State for Social Services if he will publish a table comparing the value before and after tax and clawback of child support for a family with three children aged 13, 11 and nine years (a) when at work earning £65 per week, (b) when on short-term national insurance benefit and (c) when unemployed and dependent on supplementary benefit.
§ Dr. OwenAverage costs of health centre buildings are not very meaningful, in view of the wide variations in size and facilities provided. As a rough guide and excluding very small schemes, the cost of the average health centre in England starting this year is estimated to be £220,000. Similar provision would, in current prices, have cost approximately 313W £80,000 in 1970–71, £90,000 in 1971–72, £100,000 in 1972–73, £120,000 in 1973–74, £150,000 in 1974–75 and £200,000 in 1975–76.
