HC Deb 26 July 1976 vol 916 c28W
Mr. Gwynfor Evans

asked the Secretary of State for Defence what plans have been made to utilise the office premises and associated facilities that will fall vacant upon transfer of the Ministry of Defence's administration to St. Mellons, near Cardiff, and to Glasgow.

Mr. Armstrong

I have been asked to reply.

Surplus accommodation will be given up as Departments disperse staff from London. In the process some buildings will be allocated to different departments in order to group staff more efficiently or maximise rent savings. Firm plans cannot be drawn up until detailed decisions have been taken on which staff are to be dispersed.
