HC Deb 26 July 1976 vol 916 cc108-9W
Mr. Robin F. Cook

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services how many investigating officers are employed by his Department in Scotland.

Mr. Orme

The number of special investigators in post in Scotland on 1st July 1976 was 30. These officers are engaged entirely on investigations where more serious fraud is suspected, mostly in relation to supplementary benefit.
