HC Deb 26 July 1976 vol 916 c67W
Mr. Hayhoe

asked the Secretary of State for Trade what proportion of flights in and out of Heathrow Airport are made by the new quieter generation of fan jets; and how he expects this to increase during each of the next five years.

Mr. Clinton Davis

At present about 12 per cent. of air transport movements at Heathrow are made by aircraft capable of meeting noise certification requirements. It is estimated that this figure will increase steadily to over 30 per cent. in 1980.
