§ Mr. Clinton DavisChanges to the regulations concerning the maintenance of aircraft were included in the Air Navigation (Fifth Amendment) Order 1976 which was considered in Standing Committee on 16th June and came into operation on 1st July. The changes which were made on the recommendation of the Civil Aviation Authority, which is responsible for aircraft maintenance standards, place responsibility for the issue of certificates of maintenance in respect of large aricraft on organisations approved by the authority rather than on individual licensed engineers.
