HC Deb 12 July 1976 vol 915 cc94-5W
Mr. Alan Lee Williams

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs if he will make a statement on his recomposition of the advisory forum on disarmament; and whether he will give the names of those who have agreed to serve.

Mr. Tomlinson

My right hon. Friend has decided that it would be right to seek to turn over the membership of the Advisory Panel on Arms Control and Disarmament rather more often than in recent years. This will inevitably be a continuing process.

The present membership is as follows: Mr. Sydney Bailey, Professor Coral Bell, the hon. Member for Blackpool, South (Mr. Blaker), my hon. Friend the Member for Edinburgh, Central (Mr. Cook), my hon. Friend the Member for West Lothian (Mr. Dalyell), the hon. Member for Carshalton (Mr. Forman), Mr. J. C. Garnett, Mr. D. E. Greenwood, Professor F. H. Hinsley, Mr. M. Howard, Brigadier K. Hunt, Lord Kennet, Professor Lawrence Martin, Professor P. Nailor, Professor A. Nove, my hon. Friend the Member for Farnworth (Mr. Roper), Mr. I. M. H. Smart, Professor Jack Spence.
