§ Dr. OwenMy right hon. Friend has asked all regional health authorities to establish a security unit for psychiatric patients, whether referred by the courts or not. The South West Thames Regional Health Authority is planning such a unit and will shortly consider the results of its recent consultations about siting. Since no unit of this sort has been completed, comparable experience does not yet exist.
