§ Mr. Maddenasked the Secretary of State for Trade what progress has been made in respect of the anti-dumping application by the Clothing Manufacturers Federation, submitted to the Department on 11th March 1976 relating to men's and boys' suits wholly or mainly of wool, man-made fibres, cotton or other 248W materials originating in Romania, Hungary, Poland, Czechoslovakia, East Germany and Bulgaria.
§ Mr. MeacherThe preliminary application from the Clothing Manufacturers' Federation did not provide the Department with all the information that was necessary. The federation was asked for further details, the latest of which were provided on 21st June. All the evidence is being examined urgently to determine whether there should be a formal investigation.
