HC Deb 26 January 1976 vol 904 cc57-8W
Mr. Michael Morris

asked the Secretary of State for Trade what representations are being made to the United States Government about their restrictions on special steel imports.

Mr. Deakins

The President has 60 days to decide whether he will accept the recommendation of the United States International Trade Commission for import quotas on certain speciality steel products. We are considering with the expenditure at this stage as this will depend on what resources the Committee requires for its work.
