HC Deb 26 January 1976 vol 904 cc36-7W
Mr. Michael McGuire

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services when she expects the Skelmersdale, Digmoor, Health Centre dispute to be resolved; and if she will make a statement.

Dr. Owen

Following an application from the doctor concerned, the person appointed by my right hon. Friend to hear his appeal against the direction made by the National Health Service Tribunal decided that the hearing should be postponed from 7th to 9th January 1976, the dates original arranged, until 19th to 21st January. On 21st January, as the proceedings had not yet been completed, the hearing was adjourned. Arrangements have been made for it to recommence on 16th February, the earliest date which has been found convenient for all the parties. After the hearing has been concluded, the person appointed will report to my right hon. Friend, who will then, after consulting her medical advisory committee, give her decision on the appeal.
