asked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland whether he is satisfied with the arrangements for fisheries conservancy in the inshore fishing grounds of Northern Ireland.

Yes. The Department of Agriculture for Northern Ireland is empowered under Section 124 of the Fisheries Act (Northern Ireland) 1966 to make regulations for the management, conservation, protection and improvement of sea fisheries within the 12-mile limit. The Department makes regulations after consultation with the industry.
