§ Mr. Beanasked the Secretary of State for Industry what steps are being taken to monitor the grants of £200 million given to industry under Section 8 of the Industry Act 1972.
§ Mr. Gregor MackenzieSpecial monitoring arrangements, depending upon the form of assistance and the nature of the company concerned, apply to all assistance provided under the Industry Act 1972. These will apply to all forms of assistance made available through the special schemes under Section 8 announced by the Chancellor of the Exchequer since April 1975.
