§ Mr. Skeetasked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food whether it is the intention of the Government to include county council farms or smallholdings within the provisions of the Agriculture (Miscellaneous Provisions) Bill.
§ Mr. StrangI assume that the hon. Member is referring to the Government's intention to introduce in the Agriculture (Miscellaneous Provisions) Bill a scheme providing for family succession to agricultural tenancies which my right hon. Friend announced in Standing Committee in the House on 3rd February. We are considering the representations of the Association of County Councils that the proposed scheme should not apply to statutory smallholdings under their control.
