Thomasasked the Secretary of State for Social Services (1) how many widows and dependants of beneficiaries under the National Insurance (Industrial Injuries) Act and the Pneumoconiosis, Byssinosis and Miscellaneous Diseases Benefit Scheme received industrial death benefit in each year since 1948; and how many received no benefit;
(2) how many applications were made for industrial death benefit by dependants of beneficiaries under the National Insurance (Industrial Injuries) Acts and the Pneumoconiosis, Byssinosis and Miscellaneous Diseases Benefit Scheme; and in how many cases was benefit awarded.
