HC Deb 09 February 1976 vol 905 cc63-4W
Mr. Douglas-Mann

asked the Secretary of State for Employment whether he will list orders made under the Health and Safety etc. at Work Act and those that he intends to lay before Parliament in the present Session.

Mr. Harold Walker

The following orders have been made under the Health and Safety at Work etc., Act 1974:

(2) how many firms in the Gravesend employment area are currently meeting their quota obligations concerning the employment of disabled workers; how many hold exemption certificates and how many not in possession of such exemption employ less than the quota obligation; and how these figures compare with the position 12 months previously.

Mr. Harold Walker

The following information is derived from the annual review, carried out in May, of the quota position of employers.

The Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974 (Commencement No. 1) Order 1975 No. 1439 (C.26).

The Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974 (Commencement No. 2) Order 1974 No. 344 (C.9) (S.43).

The Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974 (Commencement No. 2) Order 1975 No. 1364 (C.41).

It is anticipated that an Order-in-Council under Section 84(3) will be laid in the present Session extending the application of Parts I, II and IV of the 1974 Act to territorial waters around Great Britain in respect of certain specified activities.
