Mr. John Moore

asked the Secretary of State for Industry what criteria have been established for the Ferrous Foundry Scheme; and who are the members of the External Advisory Committee set up to advise his Department on the scheme.

Detailed information about the scheme is contained in the notes for the Guidance of Applicants (forms FIS 2) issued by my Department in October 1975; copies are available from regional offices of the Depatment of Industry, the Industial Development Division of the Scottish Economic Planning Department, the Industrial Department of the Welsh Office, and the Northern Ireland Department of Commerce. I am sending a copy to the hon. Member. The membership of the Advisory Committee was announced on 16th December 1975 and is: Chairman: Mr. G. W. Barlow, Chairman and Chief Executive of Ransome, Hoffman and Pollard Ltd., and member of the Industrial Development Advisory Board; Members: Mr. W. G. K. Carter, a partner in Price Waterhouse and Co., Chartered Accountants; Mr. K. G. Corfield, Managing Director of Standard Telephones and Cables Ltd., and Chairman of the Ferrous Foundries Economic Development Committee; Mr. R. Garland, General Secretary of the AUEW Foundry Section, and a member of the Ferrous Foundries Economic Development Committee; Mr. J. A. Howard, a Director of Howard Machinery Ltd.; Mr. G. C.
