§ Mr. Jim Spicerasked the Minister for Overseas Development if he has received through the International Red Cross any requests for help in dealing with the thousands of Angolan refugees fleeing into South-West Africa.
§ Mr. JuddNo. We have, however, made two grants of £25,000 each to the International Committee for its relief work in Angola itself and, as I said in a reply to my hon. Friend the Member204W for Gower (Mr. Davies) on 22nd November, we responded to an appeal by the United Nations' High Commissioner for Refugees with a contribution of £250,000 to assist with a programme of humanitarian assistance for refugees and displaced persons in Angola.—[Vol. 919, c. 907–8.]
