§ Mr. GoldingThe South-West Assisted Area has benefited from the measures the Government have taken to alleviate the worst effects of unemployment. These include the job creation and156W work experience schemes, the temporary employment subsidy, and the recruitment subsidy and youth employment subsidy schemes.
General responsibility for the construction industry rests with my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for the Environment.
