asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department when he intends to make regulations about local authority lotteries under Section 10 of the Lotteries Act 1975.

My right hon. Friend hopes to lay draft regulations shortly after the Chirstmas Recess. In accordance with Section 18(2) of the Act, the draft will be subject to approval by resolution of each House of Parliament.
