HC Deb 13 December 1976 vol 922 c531W
40. Mr. Bidwell

asked the Secretary of State for Industry what correspondence he has received in recent weeks, including a letter from the hon. Member for Ealing, Southall, on the future of the AEC-Leyland factory; and what reply he has sent.

Mr. Kaufman

In recent weeks my right hon. Friend has received two letters from my hon. Friend the Member for Ealing, Southall (Mr. Bidwell) and one from the hon. Member for Harrow, East (Mr. Dykes). I have also received one from the hon. Member for Uxbridge (Mr. Shersby). The replies stress that the future plans for AEC Southall are matters for discussion between management and work force within the joint participation machinery set up for the purpose.
