asked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food whether he intends to re-rate agricultural land and buildings.

Mr. Strang

The Layfield Committee recommended agricultural re-rating but the Government will not be reaching a conclusion until we have had the opportunity to consider all the comments and representations received during the recent consultation period.
