Mr. Sims

asked the Lord President of the Council if he will implement forthwith the recommendations (paragraph 18 and 19) in Part II of Report No. 8 from the Review Body on Top Salaries, with regard to the cost of travel incurred on parliamentary business within the United Kingdom, so that Members may take advantage of this facility during the forthcoming recess.

The pay policy does not permit the introduction of new allowances or the extension of the scope of existing allowances.
