§ Mr. Watkinsonasked the Secretary of State for Social Services (1) what buildings were viewed by his staff in the Cinderford area as a possible site for a Department of Social Services office in the Forest of Dean; (2) what were the prices of the buildings viewed by his staff in the Cinderford area as possible sites for Department of Social Services offices in the Forest of Dean.
§ Mr. ArmstrongI have been asked to reply.
The PSA has not been asked by the DHSS to look for a site in the Forest of Dean area. A number of possible sites were viewed by PSA in Cinderford following a suggestion by my hon. Friend that a suitable building might be found 1169W there. No prices were quoted, but, in any case, for commercial reasons, it is not the practice to disclose the rent of individual properties.
