§ Mr. BishopGovernment policy towards domestic agriculture was set out in the White Paper "Food From Our Own Resources" (Cmnd 6020). This indicated that priority should be given to the development of economic milk production in the United Kingdom and Government policy has been directed to this end. We are confident that the measures taken following this year's annual review provide the United Kingdom dairy industry with a sound base for efficient expansion.
