§ Mr. KaufmanThe profit published last week by the Post Office in its report and accounts for the financial year ended 31st March 1976 was £147.9 million.
§ Mr. Brothertonasked the Secretary of State for Industry if he has any plans for restructuring the Post Office Board to place on it union representatives.
§ Mr. KaufmanThe Post Office management and unions are at my right hon. Friend's request discussing the possibilities for an experiment in industrial democracy in the Post Office, including the appointment of workers' representatives to the existing board. I have asked that the conclusions of these discussions should be reported to him, and we will then consider the need for further action.
